Leicester vs West Ham Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Daniel Ngulu | in Premier League Predictions
Leicester City is one of the three teams to have played three matches already and still with a perfect record in the Premier League. This is one thing they will be keen to preserve when they host West Ham United in their next league game. West Ham bagged their first three points of the campaign in their last league match after whipping Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0. Going to this game, Leicester are six points ahead of West Ham and are at the top of the table while The Hammers are 11th. Leicester have no midweek activity, having earlier been eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Arsenal and will have had an extra day’s rest when they face West Ham. The Foxes will head to the game straight from their impressive comeback and 5-2 win away to Manchester City in their last league game where talisman Jamie Vardy scored a hat trick. In their four matches so far this season, Leicester have managed three wins, only losing in the Carabao Cup, and with a much changed team. They have scored two goals or more in three of their four matches so far but will be concerned by the fact they have not kept a clean sheet in the last three matches, conceding twice in each. They will still have defensive concerns going to this clash against West Ham United, with defender Johnny Evans doubtful after limping off against Manchester City while Wilfred Ndidi remains out. However, the club has made headway in the chase for Wesley Fofana from St. Etienne and it remains to be seen if he will make an appearance against West Ham. Leicester have four wins in their last six Premier League games at home. They have failed to score in three of the last 10 league games at home and have scored two or more in six of the 10 matches. Going to this game, Leicester are unbeaten in four straight matches against West Ham, winning two and drawing two, and both sides have scored in each of the last four meetings.
West Ham United have not won many games against Leicester City in recent times. However, one impressive stat they will carry to this match is the fact that they have scored in each of their last seven meetings with Leicester. Coming from the 4-0 win over Wolves in their last league game should give West Ham the push they need here and indeed their last three meetings have each produced over 2.5 goals. The Hammers lost their opening game of the season, 2-0 to Newcastle United but have improved massively after that. They have scored in each of their last four matches, banging in 13 goals in total and the win over Wolves will stand out. This was their first win in five league matches and as they seek to make it two in a row, they will be banking on a scoring run that has seen them net in eight of their last 10 league matches. In half of the last 10 league matches, West Ham have scored at least two goals. However, with 10 losses and three wins in their last 15 away league games, manager David Moyes may want to coin something that would lead to a positive result at the King Power Stadium.

Our Leicester vs West Ham Prediction
West Ham have two tough away fixtures – against Everton in the Carabao Cup before heading to Leicester. David Moyes is expected to rest his key players for the Carabao Cup game so as to have fresh legs for the Leicester game. One other aspect he will be working on is to prepare his charges mentally for this away game, with their recent away performances in mind. West Ham have the attacking muscle but have not done well away from home in recent league matches. This is one area Leicester will want to exploit and having no midweek game should work for them too. Leicester are coming from a morale boosting win at Manchester City and will go out guns blazing against this Hammers side. They have been good at home in the Premier League and have the forwards to do the job. A few worries remain in defence and it has been evident in their recent matches but we believe they will target outscoring The Hammers. A bet on both teams scoring looks good on this and also looking at the attacks on offer, we will definitely have over 2.5 goals.
