Both Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur had their weekend matches postponed and they will be returning to action on Wednesday with Leicester hosting the London side. Both teams have played 18 matches, and go to the game eight points apart, sixth placed Spurs on 33 and Leicester on 25, in 10th place. Hosts Leicester haven’t had a steady season so far but they go to this game on two straight wins, which should be a major confidence boost. They thumped Premier League side Watford 4-1 in the FA Cup in their last game, right after beating Liverpool 1-0 in a league game. Leicester are doing well in attack, but not defence and that is one area they need improvement in. They have scored 15 times in their last five matches but with just two clean sheets. In their last five matches, Leicester have conceded 10 goals and here their situation will get tighter with injuries to Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka, while three players are away at AFCON.

Tottenham are coming from a 1-0 home loss to Chelsea in the League Cup, which confirmed their elimination from the cup competition. They return to league action where Antonio Conte’s men are unbeaten in the last eight matches. Spurs haven’t been very fluid in attack; they’ve failed to score more than a goal in four of their last five matches. This will add to their concerns as Son Heung-min is injured and absent for this game, though Steven Bergwijn could return. Twice in the last three matches, Spurs haven’t scored but it is their away form that will bother Conte more. The North London side has just one win in the last five away matches and failed to score in two of them. They have five losses in 10 away games in the league.
