It’s been an up and down year for Leicester after their relegation from the Premier League. The year is ending well and they top the Championship and host bottom-of-the table Rotherham United. The Foxes are three points clear of second placed Ipswich Town and Monday saw City win 3-2 at Birmingham City, their fourth successive league victory. straight league victory with 12 goals being scored. 18 of their 22 league games this season and nine have come at home, including the last three. Only six home league goals have been conceded this season. Six of their last eight home league matches have been won to nil. They won 2-1 at Rotherham in the reverse fixture played in August.

Rotherham United come into this game in deep relegation trouble. The Millers are nine points from safety, virtually ten because of their poor -24 goal difference. Their current form is hugely disappointing with their last three league matches all being lost. The most recent saw United lose 3-2 at Plymouth Argyle. That must have been a long and miserable journey home after leading 1-0 and losing to a 96th minute winner. Only two points have been earned from their last seven league games. Their last win in the Championship was on October 25 and since then they’ve gone ten league games without a win. Just two games have been won by them in the Championship this season and both at home. On the road, United have earned just two points from 11 league games, scoring just six times. Four of the last five have been lost and they’ve conceded at least twice in each of their nine away league defeats this season. We go for Leicester to win and be ahead at both half and full time.
