Leicester vs Millwall Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Joseph King | in Championship Predictions
Matchday 21 in the English Championship sees league leaders Leicester City continue their charge towards the Premier League when they host 19th-place Millwall. After dropping down to England’s second tier for the first time in a decade, the 2015/16 Premier League champions look set for an immediate promotion. The Foxes have been cruising through the division and have amassed a record of 16 wins, one draw and only three defeats through the first 20 games. They come into this matchup off the back of a dominant 4-0 home win over Plymouth, extending their unbeaten run to four games. Leicester hold an 80% winning mark at the King Power Stadium so far this season with eight victories and two defeats from 10 outings. Enzo Maresca’ Foxes have the best defensive record in the Championship with only 12 goals conceded on the year (0.60 average conceded per match), four of which have come on home soil.
It’s been a struggle for Millwall as we grow every closer to the halfway mark of the 2023/24 campaign. The Lions look like they might be set for a relegation scrap which would be a huge disappointment considering they finished eighth the season prior. The poor performances this year have resulted in the sacking of Gary Rowett after four years in charge of the club. It took Millwall a few weeks to find their man but they eventually brought in 37-year-old Joe Edwards to take charge of the team and lead them to safety. Edwards got off to a fantastic start in his first career game as a manager with his Lions mauling Sheffield Wednesday to the tune of a 4-0 away win. Since then, however, it’s been rough going as Millwall have earned only a single point from their last four matches. The visitors’ most recent appearance resulted in a 1-0 away loss to Cardiff on the weekend.

Our Leicester vs Millwall Prediction
Leicester are rolling and there is nothing to suggest that we'll see anything other than a comfortable home victory here. A 2-0 home win is the most likely result but Millwall have been decent at finding the net on the road therefore a 2-1 or 3-1 final score can't be ruled out either. We have this combination bet of Leicester to win with over 1.5 total goals pegged closer to 1.50 (66.7% implied probability). Therefore, we see some solid value in backing this bet at the current market price (which implies a 61.7% probability). Our Leicester City vs Millwall prediction is for Leicester to win + over 1.5 goals scored.
