Leicester are coming from a tough outing and it won’t be any easier hosting Liverpool on 28th. The Foxes have so far garnered 22 points and are ninth in the standings while Liverpool are second with 41 points. On Boxing Day, Leicester suffered a 6-3 loss to Manchester City; another outing in which the team was seriously let down by poor defending. They have now conceded two or more in seven of their last 10 matches across all competitions. Leicester have three losses in their last five matches and have managed just one clean sheet in that run. They have conceded 14 goals in five matches but scored 13. This will be their second meeting with Liverpool in the space of a week; the two met in the League Cup and Liverpool won on post match penalties after a 3-3 draw.

Liverpool haven’t had a game since their 3-3 draw with Leicester, and after having had to come from behind then, they will be gunning for a more comfortable win here. They will definitely field a much stronger team and in their run this season, they should be able to deal with the Leicester City threat. In their last 10 matches, Liverpool have managed two goals or more in eight but they haven’t been the best defensively. Both sides have scored in four of their last five matches and they have just one clean sheet in that run. Diogo Jota has been outstanding for the Reds in their recent matches and after scoring in each of the last three games, he will be a player to watch here. In the last five matches, Liverpool have scored 11 goals and conceded seven.
