Leicester vs Chelsea Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in FA Cup Predictions
It's a battle of the teams in blue as Leicester City host Chelsea in the quarter finals of the FA Cup. Leicester City have never won this competition but have been losing finalists on four occasions, the last time being back in the 1968/69 season when losing to Manchester City. After a shaky start to the season they have improved under new boss Claude Puel who will be looking to return to Wembley after leading Southampton to the final of the League Cup last season. His side are currently eighth in the table and chasing Burnley in seventh as they bid to get into the Europa League next season. They are unbeaten in their last four games and have so far beaten Fleetwood, Peterborough and Sheffield United to reach the quarter finals. The two sides have already met twice this season with Chelsea winning on their trip to the King Power Stadium but being held to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge City are unbeaten in their last eight home league and cup games and with Vardy and Mahrez in good form, they will be hard to beat in this tie.
Chelsea are fifth in the Premier League and after losing to Barcelona on Wednesday their season now consists of trying to get in the top four and winning the FA Cup for the sixth time this century. Their form is a bit patchy though and the mistakes their defence makes could prove costly if City's forwards are in the mood to cause havoc. Chelsea have lost three of their last four games and it's even worse away from home with five straight losses. A difficult game to predict but Leicester can be backed to get the win.

Our Leicester vs Chelsea Prediction
Leicester City have a good cup tradition and although I wouldn't recommend high stakes, they are a value bet to beat Chelsea and reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup. They are in good form with Jamie Vardy scoring in six of the last seven games. Their home form is good and with Chelsea struggling, particularly away from home, it's Leicester who can get the win.
