Leganes began the new La Liga season with a home game against newly promoted Osasuna. It didn't work out well for them as they lost 1-0 with the winner scoring a quarter of an hour from full time. Last season saw them finish 13th in the table, eight points above the relegation zone but the same number behind the final Europa League qualifying position. They had a terrible end to last season with just one win in their last nine league games. Home form is disappointing with no goals scored in their last four and just one win in the last seven.

Atletico Madrid made a winning start to their league season beating Getafe 1-0 at home with Morata getting the winner. Their three previous La Liga games at Leganes have all ended level but they look capable indeed of winning this match. Preseason went well with their last seven games all being won (including penalty shoot-outs). Atletico finished second in La Liga last season but were 11 points adrift of champions Barcelona. Only one of their last eight league games have ended in defeat. They only won seven away league games last season so that's an area where they need to improve. They should be able to get a win here though and that's the suggested bet.
