14th placed Leeds United host West Ham United who are 17th in the Premier League. Both teams are looking for their first win since the season resumed. Leeds haven’t had an easy fixture list but after a home loss to Manchester City, earned a point away at Newcastle United. They are two points above the relegation zone and have gone three league games without a win. United put in a good second half performance against Manchester City and made life very difficult for Newcastle. Home form this season has seen Leeds win three, draw two and be beaten on three occasions. Three of the last four at home have been lost, though a couple were against the top two in the table. Eight of their 12 league games this season have ended in defeat. Only one of their next seven league fixtures is against a side in the top nine and they need to start getting some points if wanting to avoid another relegation battle.d

West Ham United have taken a few steps backwards this season. They have lost their last five Premier League fixtures and are only out of the relegation places on goal difference. The Hammers could drop into the bottom three as Southampton host Nottingham Forest in an earlier kick-off. Another loss for United could well see David Moyes lose his job. West Ham have won just one of their last seven league games. Since the season resumed, they’ve lost 3-1 at Arsenal (after taking the lead) and then 2-0 at home to Brentford, who they also meet in the FA Cup at the weekend. Their away form has been appalling in the Premier League this season. Only four points have been earned from eight league games. Just four goals scored is something they have to improve on in 2023. Only a single point has been earned from their lst six away league games and that poor run may well continue at Elland Road.
