Leeds United have the last chance to stake their claim on survival in the Premier League as they host Tottenham Hotspur. In the final round of matches, Leeds start two points below safety while Spurs are a point below seventh. For both teams, and as far as their ambitions for this game are concerned, their fates are out of their hands. Leeds United hope to win and that Everton and Leicester City lose. It has been a difficult season for them and going into this game, a very poor run. They’ve managed just two points from a possible 24 in the last eight league games. One win in 10 matches is the run that has them in this situation. They have conceded two or more in eight of their last 10 matches but they’ve scored in each of the last 12 matches.

Tottenham Hotspur have been poor, just not as poor as Leeds United. They come into this game having managed just one win in their last seven matches. In their last two matches they’ve suffered back-to-back losses and they have one clean sheet in 11 matches. The last time out, Spurs led early against Brentford but they went on to lose 3-1. Their only win in the last seven matches was 1-0 against Crystal Palace and they have conceded two or more in seven of their last 10 matches. The saddest story for Tottenham has been their frailty in defence, and they’ve failed to harness Harry Kane’s abilities. Kane has scored in each of the last four matches, but the visitors haven't managed to hold it together defensively. Now they stand the risk of missing European football next season.
