Sheffield Wednesday will seek their first win in the Championship on Saturday away to Leeds United. After four rounds of play, Wednesday are rock bottom in the standings while Leeds are 13th. Leeds United have struggled to get their campaign going and have managed only one win. They have however proved difficult to defeat and have lost only once while drawing twice. Daniel Farke’s charges have racked up five points and are tied with two other teams. Leeds saw their League Cup campaign end in midweek as they lost on penalties away to League Two side Salford City. The match ended 1-1 after 90 minutes. Six changes were however made for this match to the team that claimed Leeds’ first win of the season last weekend. This will be the first meeting between these two teams since the 2019/20 Championship season.

Sheffield Wednesday have found the going extremely tough in their return to the Championship after two seasons in League One. Xisco’s men have lost all four of their matches and are the only team in the division yet to register a single point. This woeful start continued in the League Cup in midweek where they were eliminated also by League Two opposition. The Owls lost at home to Mansfield also on penalties after a 1-1 draw. The result extended their current losing run to four matches. SWFC have managed only one win in their last 11 matches across all competitions. They have lost nine times in this unwanted stretch.
