Leeds started the season strongly but their main undoing all through the Championship campaign has been much focus on attack and not much effort spared in defending even though they have conceded just 11 goals in the opening 14 matches. With the number of goals they have scored, 25 – the second bets tally in the Championship, they’d do themselves a massive favor with a meaner defence but that will not matter a lot if they can maintain top spot. Perhaps a positive note Leeds will be banking on is the fact Nottingham have not been so strong defensively and have shipped in 15 goals so far but they will need to be wary of their visitors as they have been among the teams with the best attacking rates in the season, having scored 21 so far. Nottingham have scored in each of their last seven matches, and have failed to score in just one of the 14 matches in the league – the barren draw with Swansea City back in September. Having lost as many as Leeds United in the season (two), the league leaders will have to be wary of this tricky opponent. Nottingham are also unbeaten in the last four away matches in the Championship, with three of the last four having ended in clean sheets and they will head to this game heads high. They have lost just once away from home in the Championship and drawn four of the seven matches played. Leeds on their part, have won four of the seven home matches they have played in the Championship this season and in the last five in the they have kept three clean sheets. They have lost just once at home in the league this season.
