Leeds vs Liverpool Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Leeds United continue their bid to avoid a return to the Championship. After the weekend results, Leeds are 16th and a home win over eighth placed Liverpool will take them five points clear of the bottom three. It was a good weekend for them with the four sides below them all losing. United have shown some signs of improved form in the past few weeks. Two of their last four league games have been won but last time out saw them beaten 5-1 at home by resurgent Crystal Palace. The wins over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest have got them out of the bottom three but they are still in danger of being relegated. They have upcoming games against Leicester and Bournemouth but als have this game against Liverpool and future ones against Manchester City and Newcastle United. Leeds have scored in their last five Premier League matches but also conceded in each of them with 14 goals being put past their fragile defence. Home form has seen Leeds totally inconsistent. Five Premier League games have been won but the same number drawn and lost. They have won two of the last four but they were against Southampton and Nottingham Forest, both in the bottom three. The last three home league fixtures have all seen both teams score.

Liverpool are still hoping to qualify for European competition next season, even it's only the Europa Conference League. The Reds certainly can't afford to drop points at Elland Road. Saturday saw both Brighton and Aston Villa win and there is now a gap of five points to the seventh position that could secure European qualfication. They come into this game having failed to win any of their last four league fixtures. Home form has been keeping them in contention for a European place with four points earned recently against Manchester United and Arsenal. On their travels though it's been a disappointing season. Only three away league games have been won and they have tasted defeat on eight occasions. Only one of their last eight away Premier League games has ended in victory. Just one goal has been scored in the last four played so tipping them to beat Leeds (who beat them at Anfield earlier in the season) isn't easy. A bet on both teams to score looks a better bet considering the dodgy defences that will be on show.
