Leeds vs Everton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Nella Wagah | in Premier League Predictions
Rafa Benitez has another chance to continue endearing himself to the Everton fans when he leads his charges to Leeds United in Week 2 of the Premier League. Hosts Leeds United were thrashed 5-1 at Manchester United in the opening weekend as Everton claimed a 3-1 win over Southampton. Once again Leeds United employed their brand of attacking football as they opened the season against United, but they were on the receiving end against an incisive United side. A second half collapse defensively saw Leeds concede four and they will be hoping for a better showing in their second game. Leeds United have paid the price for their attacking brand of football in their recent matches; while they’ve scored in 10 of their last 11 matches, they have no clean sheet in eight. They’ve conceded 16 goals in their last five matches, with each one of them seeing over 2.5 goals scored.
Everton had tough times in the Premier League last season and will be hoping for a break this term. Just like last season, they opened their campaign with a win, this time coming from a goal down to win 3-1 at home to Southampton. It was their second win in five matches and the third in that sequence to produce over 2.5 goals and in the same run, they have just one clean sheet, while they’ve failed to score in two. Everton haven’t been doing so well away from home in their recent matches. In the last three away games they have no goal, and they’ve lost the last two heading here. In the last eight away matches, Everton haven’t scored more than a goal, and in fact they’ve failed to score in five.

Our Leeds vs Everton Prediction
Leeds United have paid a price for insistence on attacking football, which has at times come at the expense of their defence. They will go here hoping to make up for the 5-1 loss to United. Their matches have been high scoring, and so have Everton’s and we expect goals here. Go for over 2.5 goals.
