Leeds vs Chelsea Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Leeds United have had it tough in their recent matches and they will be hosting Chelsea - one of the teams in great form as the Premier League campaign enters round 29. Leeds head to this game on 35 points, and in 11th place while Chelsea are currently fourth with 50 points. Scoring goals was at some point Leeds United’s strong point but that seems to have abandoned them, with the team currently failing to score in three of their last five matches. They’ve suffered four losses in their last five matches and the 3-0 win over Southampton is their only clean sheet in the last five matches. Marcelo Bielsa’s side goes to this game having conceded eight goals and scored five in the last five matches. At home, their only clean sheets in five matches have come against struggling sides; Southampton and Crystal Palace. The fact that they have managed just five wins in 13 home league games points to the struggles Leeds have gone though. Out of a possible 39 points at home in the league, Leeds have only managed to collect 17. Meanwhile, they haven’t done so well defensively on their return to the Premier League – only West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace have conceded more goals than Leeds.

On the other hand, Chelsea have really stabilized under new coach Thomas Tuchel and look like real title contenders though a place in the top four would be good enough. The Blues trail third placed Leicester City by three points and with a win here, they could move above the Foxes. Chelsea are coming from a 2-0 win over Everton which served their fourth straight clean sheet though they failed to score in one of the last five matches. They haven’t lost any of their last 13 matches away from home, are unbeaten in the last four league games. Chelsea under Tuchel has been a better defensive side but they don’t score a lot, just enough to win games. As a result, 10 of their last 11 league matches have seen under 2.5 goals scored while they have seven clean sheets in the last nine league matches. They may miss the services of Tammy Abraham here, who is doubtful, with an ankle injury.
