Both of these sides have had a quiet festive period due to postponements. 16th placed Leeds United host Burnley who are 18th in the table. Leeds are five points above their opponents but Burnley have a couple of games in hand. United are playing for the first time since a 4-1 home loss to Arsenal on December 18. That was their third successive Premier League defeat and they could really do with winning this game. United have only won one of their last eight Premier League games, a home win over Crystal Palace on the last day of November. They have been hit hard by injuries and Covid as they struggle in their second season back in the top flight. Home form had seen them unbeaten in five Premier League games before being beaten by Arsenal. Only two out of nine have been won though and just ten goals scored. Four of the last six home Premier League fixtures have seen under 2.5 goals scored in them.

Burnley are still looking for their first away win in the Premier League this season. Only four points have been earned from their nine away league games with just seven goals scored. 10 away league matcheshave been played since their last victory and that was last season at Fulham who were relegated. Goals are always a problem for Burnley and they have failed to score in three of the last four. The 3-1 loss at Manchester United on Thursday left them still two points from safety but with a game in hand. Four of their last six league games have ended in draws. It's wins that they need though and just one has been earned this seaso in the Premier League. Four of their last six away league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them.
