17th placed Leeds United will be hoping they can open some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone when they welcome Brighton and Hove Albion (who are eighth) to Elland Road  The hosts are currently just one place above the drop zone with 22 points, level with Everton in 18th, ahead of them only on goal difference. After losing their last match 1-0 at Chelsea, Leeds now has a record of just one win, one draw, and four losses in their last six matches. Their inconsistency this season is clearly seen when we look at their home record, which shows four wins, four draws, and four losses in their 12 matches at Elland Road. Leeds will go all-out for a victory here, as a loss could very well see them slip into the bottom three if any of the sides below them manage a win in their respective matches.

Brighton and Hove Albion have emerged as one of the surprise packages in the Premier League this season. The visitors have gotten themselves into European competition qualification contention and are currently in 8th place in the league with 38 points in 23 matches. They are seven points behind the final Champions League place but have three games in hand on Tottenham. Brighton put on another excellent display in their last match, thrashing West Ham United 4-0 at home, which was their third win in their last six matches, along with two draws, and just one loss. Their recent away record is equally impressive, unbeaten in their last five matches on the road, including three wins and two draws. Brighton has gotten the better of this opposition in recent seasons and comes into this match unbeaten in the last five meetings against Leeds. While you can never count Leeds out, the visitors will be confident that they can take all three points from this one which could see them breach the top seven if other results also go their way.
