Leeds vs Brentford Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Steve Ashfield | in Championship Predictions
Leeds United fans are used to their team being at the top of the table. The trouble is it never happens in May and they have to endure yet another season in the Championship. Last season saw them in the automatic promotion places for most of the season. A poor end to the season saw them miss out but they have made a promising start to the new campaign. Their season began with a good 3-1 away win at Bristol City who have four points from their subsequent two matches. United had to come from behind to get a home point against in-form Nottingham Forest and then won their second game of the season 2-0 at Wigan.
Brentford made some big signings during the summer including Pontus Janssen from their opponents in this game. They also lost some key players and that may explain their slow start to the season. Brentford's first league game ended in a home defeat by Birmingham City. They did win 1-0 at Middlesbrough but they are still looking for their first league win under Jonathan Woodgate. Brentford then found themselves knocked out of the Carabao Cup drawing at home to League Two Cambridge United before losing on penalties. Their run of no wins continued at the weekend as they had to come from behind to get a point at home to Hull City. The tip for this game is a home win for Leeds.
