Strasbourg have the chance to secure their Ligue 1 status when they travel to Le Havre for their next game on Saturday. Hosts Le Havre arrive for this game above the relegation playoff spot by virtue of a superior goal difference, and seven points behind Strasbourg. Le Havre were hurtling towards a crucial 3-1 away win over PSG in their last game until they collapsed late to draw 3-3. Goals from Achraf Hakimi and Goncalo Ramos leveled it for PSG, leaving Le Havre ruing the missed chance. The point earned would however lift them out of the relegation places. With their fate well in their hands, Le Havre will try to better Metz’s results in their remaining matches. The collapse in the final 12 minutes against PSG denied Le Havre the chance for a second win in 14 matches. Their only win in that run was in early March, 1-0 against Toulouse which is also their only clean sheet in 14 matches. They've gone winless in six matches, losing four and have also failed to score in three of the last five matches.

Strasbourg are closer to realizing their survival dream than Le Havre. They need just a win here to confirm their Ligue 1 status for at least 12 more months. This will be the third meeting between the two sides this season. Their most recent meeting was in the French Cup in February, Strasbourg winning 3-1. Back in December, they won 2-1 in their last league meeting. In each of the last four meetings between them, Strasbourg emerged winners and that will fuel their confidence coming here. The visitors need that morale, having lost their last two matches, most recently falling 3-1 at home to Nice. Those two losses marked the end of their four-game unbeaten run which moved them closer to survival. Now Patrick Vieira’s charges have another chance. From a possible 18 points in the last six matches, Strasbourg have bagged 10, which is far better than Le Havre’s recent tally.
