The defending French Ligue 1 Champions, Paris Saint-Germain, will start life post-Kylian Mbappe with a trip to Le Havre. This Ligue 1 match will be played at the Stade Océane in Le Havre, with a prediction of a likely win for Les Parisiens.

Le Havre finished last season in 15th place, just three above the bottom three. It was a commendable effort considering it was their first season in the top flight after 2008–09. The club will now look to replicate those efforts, but under a new manager, Didier Digard, after last season’s manager, Luka Elsner, left the club in the summer.

The hosts were winless in their last five friendlies, drawing three and losing two. Their two losses have come in consecutive matches, where they even conceded eight goals. PSG won last season’s league title with a nine-point advantage over their nearest competitors. League titles weren’t a problem, as they continue to chase that elusive Champions League triumph.

Crucially, this will be PSG’s first season since 2016 without Kylian Mbappe after the Frenchman moved to Real Madrid in the summer. They still have a lot of firepower within their ranks and should be able to find some goals. That’s what they did in a 2-2 draw with Strum Graz in one of the friendlies. Manager Luis Enrique has Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos leading the lines, while the exciting addition of Joao Neves is promising to be a great signing.
