Lazio had a good break with a 3-1 win over Inter Milan in the Italian Serie A and they will be looking to continue with the celebration when they host French side Marseille in Group E of the Europa League. Lazio are second in the group with three points while Marseille, still in search of a first win, have two points in third place. The win over Inter was Lazio’s third in five matches and they will be hoping for some stability going forward. They’ve scored two or more goals in their last four matches but both teams have scored in three of their last five, with three of five producing over 2.5 goals. At home, they are undefeated in the last 12 matches, winning 10 and thus go to this game very confident. Marseille aren't going to this game on a very strong run, though they did win their last game – a 4-1 victory over Lorient. In three of the last five matches, the French side has failed to score and conceded a total of six goals in the five matches. They are winless in the last three away matches, drawing two. In 2018, they met Lazio in the Europa League and the Italian side won both home and away encounters. Since 2018, Marseille haven’t taken part in this competition until this season, and they don’t have a very good record ahead of this game.
