Lazio will hope to arrest a dip in form in recent weeks when they host struggling Lecce in the Italian Serie A. A poor run has seen them drop to third, two points behind Juventus and just one ahead of fourth placed Inter Milan while Lecce are four points above the drop zone and seeking an escape route with four matches to go. Lazio are coming from a 2-0 loss to AC Milan, failing to build on their earlier 2-0 victory over Sassuolo, in a run that has them on three losses in the last four matches. Lazio have managed just two clean sheets in the last five matches and conceded more than a goal in two of the last three games. Four wins in five home games in the league however places them in a better position. They have three wins with clean sheets in their last five league matches at home, and have lost only two of their last 10 home league matches.

Lecce are on a poor run coming into this game but will want to extend their form against Lazio, which has seen them win the last two meetings with their hosts. Staying up right after getting promoted will be a key target for Lecce and we expect them to give a big fight here. However, three losses in their last four matches means they enter this game heavily as underdogs and unlikely to extend their run against Lazio. It will be tougher for them looking at Lazio’s form at home, but Lecce’s away run paints an even grimmer picture, having suffered five straight away losses, conceding more than a goal in three while failing to score in four. Lecce have actually scored just once in five away matches.
