Lazio vs Fiorentina Prediction & Betting Tips - Serie A

Gameweek ten in the Serie A will see Fiorentina head to Stadio Olimpico to face Lazio on Monday evening. The hosts are currently ninth in the league standings, while the visitors are fifth. After an incredible 2022-23 campaign, which saw them finish second, Lazio began the current campaign firmly on the back foot. They lost three of their first four league matches and were in the bottom half of the table at the end of last month. However, following back-to-back victories on either side of the international break, they have gotten themselves to 13 points after nine games. The Eagles won their last match 3-2 against Atalanta and are unbeaten in their last three at home, including two wins and a draw. Lazio have won three and drawn one of their last four matches against this opponent and are the favourites in this one. 

Meanwhile, Fiorentina have made a promising start to the season. They are currently on 17 points and level with Napoli in the fourth and final Champions League qualification spot. Viola returned from the international break with a 2-0 loss to Empoli last week. That result brought an end to a seven-match unbeaten run in all competitions. However, they did bounce back with a resounding 6-0 win over Cukaricki in the Conference League in midweek and will hope to continue that type of form here. In five away league games this season, Fiorentina have taken ten points, including a 3-1 win over Napoli earlier this month. The visitors will need to tighten up in defence if they are to challenge for the European spots this season. They have already conceded 13 goals, which is the worst of any side in the top half of the table as it stands.
