Sixth placed Lazio host Mian (who are second)in the 19th round of Serie A. Only four points separate the two teams so this match will be particularly important for both teams,  Lazio needed a Felipe Anderson goal to win the midweek Coppa Italia tie against Bologna. Returning to league action, they are now three points behind fourth placed AS Roma but with a game in hand. They need to improve their recent league record with just one win in their last four matches.  The same stat applies to their home league record with the only win in the last four being a win over Monza. Three of those games also saw over 2.5 goals scored.

Milan have been struggling with a poor patch of form and injuries to key players. They have now gone four games without a win with no clean sheets in their last nine. Milan have only won one of their last four away games in Serie A, including disappointing draws at Cremonense and Lecce. Milan will need to fix their defence if they hope to come out victorious in this game, as they have conceded four goals in their last two visits at the Olimpico. However, they are still in a strong position in the league and will be looking to get back to winning ways in this match.
