Sabanas are bottom of the Nicaraguan Premier League but a point from this game will see them overtake Deportivo Ocotal. They host Jalapa who are fifth in the league but not at their best on their travels. The home side have just ten points from their 14 league fixtures but are only bottom on goal difference. Their season got off to a disastrous beginning with no wins in their first 12 league games. They finally got off the mark with a 1-0 home victory over Real Madriz (who have lost five of their six away league matches this season). Sabanas nearly climbed off the bottom of the table when they went 1-0 up at Ocotal, only to return home with just a point. Jalapa are fifth in the league and nine points behind leaders Managua. They were in action on Sunday but lost 1-0 to Chinandega, falling behind in the fifth minute. That ended a run of two straight wins over Juventus Managua and Deportivo Ocotal. Away form isn't great though with just one win and four defeats. Six of their last seven league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. That stat has also come up in four of their last five away league fixtures. More worrying for Jalapa is the fact they have only scored in one of their last five away league matches. A bet on under 2.5 goals in this game is the suggested wager.
