Three points separate Las Palmas and Osasuna in what’s proving to be a tight mid-table race. Their La Liga match will be played at the Gran Canaria Stadium on Sunday. Before this weekend, the hosts were ninth with 35 points, while the visitors were 11th with 32 points. Las Palmas are five points behind sixth-placed Sociedad, which looks to be a bridgeable gap for a late push for European qualification. Any hopes of changing the script aren’t off the mark, though, as they have been impressive at this venue this season. Osasuna drew the reverse fixture 1-1 and could replace their hosts in the table with a win here. They are, at least, giving themselves a fair chance to do that, coming here on the back of two consecutive wins. Both have come with a clean sheet, but repeating the dose here could be tough. The last seven league matches between Las Palmas and Osasuna have seen goals from both teams, which could once again be the case here. That is largely due to Osasuna’s poor defensive record on the road, where they have conceded in seven of their last eight league matches. That said, scoring hasn’t been an issue for them, with Osasuna finding the net in six of their last seven away league games.
