After an unfavorable recent run, Las Palmas will be looking to bounce back when they host Almeria in their next league game. Heading into this game, Almeria are bottom of the league standings while Las Palmas are ninth. Las Palmas are just three places and six points below the European slots. For a side that got promoted this season, Las Palmas are doing well, having won 10 of their 28 matches. They will hope to ride on this confidence to bounce back from four straight winless outings. With 37 points garnered there are all the indications Las Palmas will achieve their target of staying up. They need 16 more points to reach this target and they’ll be justified to imagine they can get three here. Los Amarillos would have been closer to their target had they picked more than the two points they’ve managed in the last four matches. The most recent of those ended in a 2-0 home defeat to Athletic Bilbao. This defeat marked the second time in four matches that they failed to score. An inconsistent run at home has also slowed them down, after winning just two of their last seven in the league.

That was their fourth draw in five matches and they’ll hope to go one better here. Nine losses in their last 10 away matches don’t help with their confidence either. Almeria last won an away league match in April; they come here winless in the last 18 away league games.
