A high-octane encounter is set for Wednesday in the South African Premier Soccer League when Golden Arrows play host to champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Match Day 7. The hosts head to this game placed sixth with nine points while Sundowns have 16 points, and lead the standings. This is the third meeting between the two teams this season already; they’ve faced off twice in the MTN8 Cup and Sundowns emerged tops. Golden Arrows have an impressive run in attack; their tally of 11 league goals (11) matches Sundowns’ and the only difference is in defence. Arrows have conceded 10, which makes them the poorest in defence among the top 13 teams. Only the bottom placed TS Galaxy have conceded more (11) than them so far. They are yet to concede in the league and the two conceded against Maniema marked the first in five games that they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet. Away from home in the league, they have seven straight clean sheets. Peter Shalulile will be a man to watch in this game as he has hit form well in these early stages. He has five goals in the last five matches and will be hoping to extend as Sundowns seek also to extend their six-game unbeaten streak against Golden Arrows.
