Konyaspor vs Galatasaray Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

Galatasaray will look to keep their nine-point lead at the top of the Turkish Super Lig intact when they travel away on Friday to face Konyaspor in a round 26 match to be played at the Torku Arena. Galatasaray are top of the table with 60 points while Konyaspor are 29 points behind in eighth. Konyaspor defeated lowly Hatayspor 3-0 away from home last weekend to end a run of 10 matches across all competitions without a win. Aleksandar Stanojevic’s men have been in free fall, losing six of those 10 matches. They will hope the win turns around their season. Konyaspor’s bluntness in attack had taken a dip before the win over Hatayspor as they had gone five consecutive matches in the league without finding the back of the net. Rather surprisingly is that whenever they have scored they have ended up avoiding defeat. Konyaspor have lost just one of the last nine matches in which they have managed a goal and they will be keen to get one against Galatasaray.

Galatasaray are on course to win their first league crown in four seasons. For such a storied club, the wait seems an eternity. They cannot afford to drop points here as they still have matches against the three other teams in the top four to come. Okan Buruk’s charges have won their last 13 matches across all competitions and this makes them a nightmare for a Konyaspor team on a woeful run of form. They have averaged at least two goals a match in this winning run and betting on them to do so here is the logical thing to do. They could however be without Juan Mata for this clash after the midfielder was withdrawn in the first half in the win over Kasimpasa with an injury.
