Kings Lynn and Walsall face each other in the first round of the FA Cup in the Walks Stadium. Kings Lynn are currently placed twenty-first in the National League while Walsall are fourteenth in League two, which is a division above the National League. Kings Lynn come into the game with three losses in a row and are yet to keep a clean sheet in the new season, and have conceded goals in every single of their fourteen matches so far. The hosts made their way to the first round of the FA Cup by easing past Peterborough Sports in the fourth qualifying round.
