Qarabag host Lech Poznan for the replay of their Champions League qualification encounter. With the Polish outfit winning 1-0 in the first leg, it is still all to play for and the Azeri side will give their all to progress to the next stage. They are a team very much in form at the moment. Their first leg defeat gave an end to an impressive unbeaten streak of nineteen games in a row, in which they managed to win fourteen of those. They are extremely strong at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium, where they are unbeaten in their last ten. In addition, they have kept clean sheets in five of their last eight at home while also managing to score four or more goals in seven of their said unbeaten ten. Qarabag also showed their home strength in last year’s European campaign, where they beat AEL Limassol and Aberdeen to progress to the Conference League’s group stages as well as drawing with Omonia and Basel and beating Kairat to secure a place in the round of 32.
Lech might have won the first leg of the tie, yet are not experiencing their best of form currently. They lost the Polish Super Cup in the weekend against Rakow, not being able to respond to the visitors’ pressure and succumbing to a disappointing defeat. This was also the ninth game in ten that has seen Lech concede, managing to keep a clean sheet only in the home game against Qarabag in that run. The Polish side are extremely strong away from home however, where they have five wins in their last five and are unbeaten in their last eight. They have also kept a clean sheet in three of their last five on the road.
