It’s time for the Derby della Mole or Turin derby this weekend in Serie A with Juventus hosting Torino. Allianz Stadium on Saturday will see the hosts starting fourth in the table four points behind leaders Inter, while the visitors are 10th with nine points and five behind top-five clubs. Juventus had a goalless draw against Atalanta in their last league match, making it a combination of all three results across their three Serie A games – loss, win and a draw. This has tapered down the early season form that has landed three wins and one draw from their first four matches. They are getting back to their best defensively though, having picked up consecutive clean sheets. In fact, the Old Lady has kept seven clean sheets across their last 12 league games which is a testimony to their recent prowess. They would need some of that defensive steel to transform their home form as Juventus have kept just one clean sheet across three home league games this season.

Torino are also coming off a goalless draw, against Verona, but that has only extended their poor run. The visitors are winless in three league games now, drawing two and losing one. This sequence has come right on the back of two straight league wins, dampening the spirits in the camp. They have failed to score in consecutive Serie A matches which is in line with their poor scoring record of the season – only six goals scored. At least their scoring record on the road is impressive as they scored four goals across three away games this campaign in the league.
