Juventus made a big step towards attempts to defend their Serie A title with a win away to AC Milan and will be hoping for more of the same when they get back home, to host Sassuolo in Round 17. Heading to the game, Juventus are placed fourth in the Serie A standings with 30 points and Sassuolo are fifth on 29 points. In the 3-1 win over Milan, Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t even score, it was the sensational Federico Chiesa who starred, with a brace then Weston McKennie came from the bench to also score. Chiesa and Ronaldo have now scored four goals each in the last five matches, which is also responsible for pushing Juventus’ last four matches to end in over 2.5 goals. This was Juventus’ third win in five matches and the third time in five matches that they have scored three or more goals. The recent 3-0 loss to Fiorentina remains Juventus’ only defeat in their last 15 matches and they have scored two or more goals in nine of the last 15 league games. At home, Juventus have lost just two of their last 47 matches and head here unbeaten in nine straight matches against Sassuolo, with the last six having ended in over 2.5 goals.

Sasssuolo have also been doing well lately; they go to Turin straight from a 2-1 win over Genoa and hoping to improve on their run of two wins in the last five matches. They have no clean sheet in their last five matches and have conceded two or more goals in three of their last five matches. Their last four matches have each produced over 2.5 goals and in the eight goals they have scored in the last five matches, six have come in the second half. Sassuolo’s last away game was against Atalanta and they were beaten 5-1, in what was their first away loss of the eight matches played this season. They have three clean sheets in the eight away matches and four have produced over 2.5 goals. In their last two matches against Juventus, Sassuolo came from behind to register draws and will be hoping for a better result here.
