Juventus are bidding to win the Serie A title for the ninth season in a row. They began their new season with a 1-0 win at Parma thanks to a first half goal. The summer saw them strengthen their squad with over £160m spent on new players. New signings included Matthijis de Ligt, Danilo and Cristian Romero as they aim to increase their chances of being European champions this season. They won Serie A by 11 points but it could have been more as their form went downhill once the title was clinched. They are unbeaten in their last 21 home league games, their last defeat being by Napoli back in April of last year. Juventus got revenge for that though by doing the league double over Napoli last season.

Napoli also spent over £100m on players during the summer with new signings including Hirving Lozano and Konstantinos Manolas. Their first league game saw them beat go behind at Fiorentina after just nine minutes. They fought back well though and ended up winning the game 4-3. Away form is important for them this season as they lost five league games on the road last season. Preaseason didn't go quite to plan with a couple of losses to Barcelona. The tip here is for Juventus to continue their supremacy and get a home win.
