Japan vs Turkey Prediction & Betting Tips - International Friendlies
by Joseph King | in Football Predictions
Japan and Turkey face off for an international friendly at a neutral venue in Genk, Belgium on Tuesday. Japan are in a fantastic run of form at the moment with three consecutive wins. Their most recent outing was a superb 4-1 win over Germany away from home in Wolfsburg. It marked the second time in the past 10 months that the Samurai Blue have defeated the Germans. They also met in the World Cup group stage where Japan would run out 2-1 winners. Following their round of 16 exit in Qatar, Japan have taken to the field five times. They’ve recorded three wins, one draw and one defeat during that time, with the only loss coming 2-1 to Colombia. Japan have been simply irresistible in front of goal in their last three outings as they’ve now scored a total of 14 goals in the previous 270 minutes of football.
Turkey come into this friendly matchup sitting 41st in the official FIFA rankings, 21 places behind their AFC opponents today. After missing out on the 2022 Qatar World Cup, it’s vital that Turkey qualify for the 2024 European Championships. Fortunately for them, they’ve started out the qualifying campaign strongly and currently sit top of Group D with three wins, one draw and one defeat. The Crescent-Stars were unable to take advantage of home field advantage in their last fixture as they drew 1-1 with Armenia in Eskişehir. The draw snapped a two match winning run for Turkey although it extended their winless run to three matches. Overall, Turkey has five wins from seven matches following the conclusion of their Nations League group winning campaign. Their only loss during that stretch came against sixth-ranked Croatia in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.Limited Offer. Currently at DraftKings

Our Japan vs Turkey Prediction
Turkey are in a good run of form and have managed wins over some solid sides such as Wales, Scotland and Czech Republic. They’ve had no trouble finding the net with an impressive 30 goals in their last 13 fixtures. Japan, meanwhile, are flying after a big win over 15th-ranked Germany. They’ve now blasted in an average of 4.67 goals per match over their last three appearances. With both teams in fine attacking form, we expect them to each net at least once here. Our Japan vs Turkey prediction is for both teams to score.
