Senegal have five clean sheets in the last 10 matches and have scored in eight of the last 10 matches. This will be the first ever meeting between the two sides but Japan lost to West African side, Ghana, 2 – 0 in the build up to the World Cup while Senegal trounced South Korea by the same margin in their friendly match ahead of the tournament.
