Japan vs Poland Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Daniel Ngulu | in World Cup Predictions
Poland will only be meeting an Asian side for the second time in their history at the World Cup; their first was in 2002 and they lost 0 – 2 to Korea. They have also met Japan once previously, in a friendly match, where Japan picked a 2 – 0 win. Japan will need a repeat of that to guarantee them their place in the second round. The Asian side has a draw, two wins and two losses in their last five matches, scoring eight and conceding nine in the process. They have four wins in 10 matches and one clean sheet in 15. They have scored at least once in 11 of the last 15 matches but are winless in 10 of the last 15. At the World Cup stage, Japan have managed just one win in six matches and have scored in seven of their last 10 World Cup matches. On the other hand, Poland have two losses, two wins and two draws in their last five matches, scoring 10 but conceding nine. Just like Japan, they have four wins in their last 10 matches. Poland have managed three clean sheets in their last 15 matches and have scored in 10 of their last 15 matches. They have eight losses in their last 10 World Cup matches, and two wins. In the 10 matches at the World Cup, Poland have kept no clean sheet.

Our Japan vs Poland Prediction
Their performance at this tournament aside, Japan and Colombia have had somewhat a similar run; two wins, two losses and a draw each in their last five matches. A standout stat is also the few clean sheets the two sides command – Japan has one in 15 and Poland three in the same run. They have met once and Japan won that one, but it was just a friendly match. Japan are expected to throw their all against Poland in this game but Poland will be hoping to leave with their heads high after a disastrous campaign so far. The Poles have lost eight of their last 10 World Cup games and Japan have just one win in six; a draw seems the fairest result here, with both teams scoring.
In seven matches, Nigeria have failed to score twice or more, while Croatia, who rarely have a good start at the World Cup have been scoring quite a number goals in the run up to the tournament. They have never lost to an African side and gauging from their previous attacking returns, we could say they stand out as favorites. A bet on Nigeria to also get a goal sounds okay, which places this game as a very easy one to predict over 2.5 goals.
