Italy face South Korea in the semi-finals of the FIFA Under-20 World Cup. The winners of this match will face either Uruguay or Israel in the final. Italy continue to be one of the most consistent countries in this tournament. This is their third successive semi-final appearance but they are yet to reach a final. They were runners-up behind Brazil (who lost in the last eight) winning two of their games and losing the other. Their tournament began with a 3-2 win over Brazil but they then lost to Nigeria before getting a 3-0 win over the Dominican Republic. That took Gil Azzurini into a last 16 match against England and it looked as if the match might go into extra time. With three minutes of normal time remaining the score was 1-1. Italy were then awarded a penalty that was successfully converted. They won the game 2-1 to again reach the last eight. In the quarter finals, the Italians comfortably beat Colombia 3-1. The loss to Nigeria is the only one they've suffered in their last 11 internationals.

South Korea  (Republic of Korea) are bidding to win the final of the FIFA Under-20 World Cup for the second time in a row. This tournament was last held in 2019 and on that occasion the Red Devils lost to Ukraine in the final 3-1 despite taking an early lead. This time around they finished second behind Gambia in their group. The Teegeuk Warriors began with a 2-1 win over France and then drew with Honduras (after going 2-0 down) and Gambia. Finishing second took them into a last 16 match against Ecuador and they reached another quarter final with a 3-2 win. The last eight saw them need extra time to get past Nigeria 1-0. Italy look to be in the better form and we go for them to win this match.
