Italy vs Poland Prediction & Betting Tips - UEFA Nations League

Italy may have missed out on the 2018 World Cup finals but they are still in League A of the new European Nations League. The other teams in their group are Poland and European Champions Portugal with the team finishing top going into the finals next summer and the team bottom going down to League B. After the trauma of not qualifying for Russia, the last thing Italy need is a relegation battle so a home win over Poland is vitally important for them. They need to improve their form though as Italy have only one win in their last seven internationals. Playing at home should be an advantage though as they have only lost one of their last 11 home matches conceding just four goals and the last team to beat them was France.
Poland qualified for Russia but didn’t hang around that long as they were eliminated in the group stages. They lost to both Senegal and Colombia but beat Japan in their final match. Only three of their last nine games have been won. Their recent record against Italy has seen them lose two of the last three games and they have failed to score against the Italians in eight of their last 11 meetings which doesn't bode that well for them. Italy have home advantage and that looks to be the key here. Go for Italy to start their European Nations League campaign with a home victory.
