Italy lost in the play-offs and are missing their first World Cup finals since 1958, while the Netherlands are missing out on their second major finals in a row. So, rather than preparing for the World Cup, it's time to try and rebuild and hopefully have a successful European Nations League campaign, not quite as exciting though to be honest. The Italians aren't in the best of form anyway and after struggling to get a 2-1 home win over Saudi Arabia at the start of the week, they lost 3-1 away to France on Friday. The win over Saudi Arabia is their only win in their last six games but they are still a difficult team to go to and get a win last losing at home to France in 2016, New boss Roberto Mancini has yet to work wonders and has to take his side back up the rankings having slipped to their lowest ever position of 20th.

The Netherlands missed out on Euro 2016 and didn't even make the play-offs for the chance to reach Russia this month. Their form isn't that bad though which will be of little consolation to their fans.Their last eight games have only seen England get a win over them and they have won five of their last seven away internationals. Impressive figures but they're still not going to Russia and face the prospect of having to take on France and Germany in the European Nations League so that might not have a happy ending either.  A double chance bet on the Netherlands is the tip here.
