Istanbul Basaksehir - Gent: Form Analysis
Despite Basaksehir being favourites here their recent form suggests otherwise as they come into this match without a win in their last four matches across all competitions. The only time they were unable to avoid defeat was in the first leg against Gent. Stefano Okaka’s opener was also their only goal in this four-match slump. Emre Belozoglu’s men will however be optimistic of getting a result in this match as at home, they haven’t lost a game in the Conference League and have won four of their six matches this season.
Gent are faring way much better than Basaksehir coming into this match as they are unbeaten in their last three matches and won 6-2 last time out against Zulte Waregem to remain firmly in the hunt for a championship playoff slot in the Belgian Pro League. Hein van Haezebrouck’s charges have scored at least one goal in five of their last six matches and the possibility of them finding the back of the net against Basaksehir at least once is high. Their form in the Conference League is however a reason for concern as they have won just two of their last five matches in the competition and haven’t tasted victory while on the road.

Istanbul Basaksehir & Gent Squad Analysis
Basaksehir have struggled to get their offensive line going in recent outings but Deniz Turuc and Danijel Aleksic remain their best chances at a goal with the two midfielders managing 18 goals between them so far in the season. Adnan Januzaj will be available for this match after his red card in the loss to Besiktas over the weekend and he will be keen to put that all behind him with a super performance here. Eden Karzev is a doubt for Gent’s visit due to injury.
Emmanuel Orban managed four goals in the rout over Zulte Waregem and is one of the in-form strikers in Europe having scored seven goals in Gent’s last five matches. He scored the equalizer in the first leg and will again be expected to provide the goals here. Gent have a raft of injury concerns ahead of this game with Joseph Okumu, Bruno Godeau and Jordan Torunarigha the latest absentees.

Our Istanbul Basaksehir vs Gent Prediction
Gent come into this match in far much better form than Basaksehir but their away form in the competition is a reason for concern and they should find it hard again against a team that has blitzed past their opponents while being the hosts in the competition. Our prediction for Istanbul Basaksehir v KAA Gent is a win for the home side.
