Israel are fifth in Group G and with three games remaining have their work cut out for them if they want to reach the Euro 2020 finals. They are five points behind second-placed Austria who they lost to on Thursday. Three wins are their aim to have any chance of finishing in the top two. Israel's problem is their away form with only a win in Latvia and defeats by Poland, Austria and Slovenia. Home form has been much better though with a 4-2 win over Austria and two 1-1 draws with North Macedonia and Slovenia. They are unbeaten in their last six home matches and will be confident of getting a win over struggling Latvia.

Their opponents are bottom of the group and have lost all of their seven matches. It's been an appalling campaign with just one goal scored (away at North Macedonia) and 24 goals scored. Their most recent game saw them lose 3-0 at home to Poland with Robert Lewandowski scoring a hat-trick. That made it six games in a row without Latvia scoring. They have gone 15 games without a win, the last victory being a 1-0 home win over Estonia last June. Their last eight Euro qualifiers have all been lost and away from home, they have gone nine games without winning, the last win being in 2011. Go for Israel to win this game and be ahead at half and full time.
