Israel will be out to solidify their chances of qualifying to next year’s Euro Championship when they host Andorra on Monday. The two nations are pooled in Group I where Israel are currently third and Andorra fifth. Israel come to this match after a morale-boosting 2-1 win away to Belarus on Friday. This moved them up to four points after three rounds of play. Alon Hazan’s charges drew 1-1 with Kosovo on matchday one at home before they were humbled 3-0 by group favourites Switzerland. Both matches were played in the last international window in March. The Blue and Whites have won all of the last four encounters with Andorra which have coincidentally all been Euro qualifiers. They won 4-0 in their most recent meeting in 2015, a match they hosted. Israel have been in good form at home where they have lost only one of their last 10 fixtures with half of those matches ending in victory. If Israel fail to seal qualification from their group, they will head to the playoffs via the Nations League.

Andorra are yet to win in Group I and have avoided defeat only once in their three qualifiers. They drew 1-1 with Kosovo for their only point so far. Koldo Alvarez’s charges lost 2-1 to Switzerland on Friday and are now without a win in six matches with four ending in defeat. The Tricolours have never qualified for a major international tournament in their history. In Euro qualifying over the years, they have managed only one win since 1998. This was a 1-0 win over Moldova in 2019. Considering this as well as their history against Israel, this could be another tough outing for them.
