Ireland are top of Group F, two points clear of Serbia and four ahead of third placed Wales. A home win here will put them in prime position to finish in at least the top two in this group. The mere fact Ireland top  this group is a great achievement considering three of their four games have been away from home. They have won away in Austria and Moldova and drawn with Serbia. Their only home game to date has been a 1-0 win over Georgia. With four home games and two away the Irish look on their way to Russia and a home win here will severely damage the qualification hopes of Wales. The Welsh had that amazing run to the semi-finals in Euro 2016 but that was then and this is now. Four qualifiers have produced one win and three draws and they start the weekend two points adrift of the play-off places. Second placed Serbia are away in Georgia the same day as this game and are favourites to get a win so the pressure is really on Wales, especially as three of their four games so far have been at home. Ireland have only lost one of their last sixteen home games while Wales have just one victory in their last five games. Home advantage can count here so go for an Ireland win.
