Ireland had a tough time of it in Mexico in midweek losing 3-1. They have made several changes to their squad for this home friendly against Uruguay which is their final game before a vital World Cup qualifier against Austria. It was an inexperienced team that lost in Mexico and the Irish have brought in more experience for this game with John O'Shea, Robbie Brady, Jon Walters, Jeff Hendrick and Glenn Whelan all added to the squad. Ireland have a strong home record with only two losses in their last nine home international friendlies. Uruguay will be without top striker Luis Suarez but are looking good for a place in the World Cup finals next year. Currently they are third in the South American qualifying group but that's only three points above sixth place which wouldn't be enough to get them to Russia. They have only won one of their seven away World Cup qualifiers but both teams have scored in five of those matches. Uruguay aren't in great form though and have one win in their last five games with both teams scoring in all those matches. Friendlies are never easy to bet on and with Ireland having a much changed team, the best bet here is for both teams to score.
