Ireland came through the play-offs to qualify for Euro 2016, no such luck for their opponents in this friendly. The Netherlands failed to even finish in the top three of their group and will miss out on the tournament. Ireland had a strong home record in their qualifying group including that great win over Germany. They are unbeaten in their last 11 home internationals since a defeat by Portugal in 2014. The Netherlands will be missed in France but had a poor run in the qualifiers and had to contend with improving Turkish and Icelandic sides as well as the consistent Czech Republic team. They do have a decent record in friendlies with wins in Wales and England but did lose to France as well so that measure of inconsistency is still there. I think Ireland can avoid defeat here but a lot depends on how many substitutions and the level of experimentation they'll indulge in. An Ireland-draw bet looks good here.
