The third round of matches in the Copa Libertadores will get underway this week, and in our featured Group B clash, we will see Internacional host Nacional on Wednesday. Brazilian representatives, Internacional, put on a solid showing in their second-round match against Metropolitanos, beating the Venezuelan side 1-0 to set them in second place in the group standings. In general, the hosts have been good this season so far, currently sitting in 4th place in the Serie A with seven points after three matches, two points behind the early league leaders Botafogo. Internacional are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions and come into this one on a four-match win streak. Internacional are fancied to top this group but will receive no favours from an in-form opponent in this one. 

The visitors currently lead Group B, winning both their matches against Metropolitanos and Independiente Medellin. Nacional have been good in domestic competition as well this season, currently in second place in the Primera Division with 25 points after 13 matches, five points behind current leaders Penarol. Over their last six matches in all competitions, Nacional are unbeaten with five wins and a draw, and like their opponents, are riding a four-match win streak. Nacional failed to make it out of the group stages in this tournament last year, but having made a good start this year, they will be hoping they can continue in that vein as they now go up against one of the more fancied sides to qualify from this group.
