Internacional dropped off the automatic Copa Libertadores places with a loss in their last match in the Brazilian Serie A and will be eyeing a return to winning ways when they host Coritiba. Going into the game, Internacional have 21 points, in fifth place while Coritiba have so far managed 15 points and are 13th. A 16-game unbeaten run came to an end when Internacional suffered a 3-2 home loss to Botafogo in their last game. Even as they suffered this loss, their outstanding run in attack didn’t suffer – Internacional have scored in each of their last 12 matches, and in four of the last five, they’ve scored two or more goals. In the last 10 matches, Coritiba have managed just two wins, and two clean sheets. In the last five matches they’ve failed to score in just two though, with both teams scoring in the remaining three. Twice in the last three matches, Coritiba have conceded two or more goals, while they’ve managed to score more than a goal in just one of their last five games. In six away matches in the league this season, Coritiba are winless, losing four of them. The visitors have conceded two or more goals in five of their last six away matches in Serie A.
