There were no surprise results in the opening week of the Italian Serie A, and among the winners were Inter Milan and Spezia. These two sides face off in Week 2 action, with Inter playing host after their opening win away to Lecce. Inter needed a stoppage time goal to see off a stubborn Lecce, Denzel Dumfries scoring the winner after Assan Ceesay equalized Romelu Lukaku’s early opener. Spezia have played four matches against Inter and have never won any, losing three and drawing one. This is a run they will be desperate to end and will hope going into this game unbeaten in their last five matches will be a good starting point. Their start to the season has been good; they thrashed Como 5-1 in the Coppa Italia and in their first league game they beat Empoli 1-0 at home. Spezia had a good run to wrap up their preseason activities but here they will have their stiffest opposition in recent matches. They have two clean sheets in their last five games and scored two or more in four. The win over Empoli marked their first clean sheet in five league matches while they conceded two or more goals in the earlier four, losing three.
