Inter Milan are 13 points behind Serie A league leaders Napoli and they will hope to close this to 10 points when they host Empoli. Inter head into this game with 37 points in third place while Empoli have 22 points, in 12th place. Thye hosts go into this game straight from a 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Super Cup, and will be fired up for this game. That was their seven straight unbeaten outing, and in the process they’ve managed six wins. In their last four matches, they’ve scored two goals or more in each while they have three clean sheets in five games. Inter Milan have only lost once in the last 10 league matches, winning eight, and at home they have five wins with four clean sheets in them. They’ve only conceded one goal in their last five home league matches. With 1 straight wins over Empoli, Inter will be the outright favorites for three points here.
