Inter may be in the Champions League semi-finals but are struggling to qualify for next season's competition. They begin the weekend in sixth place and host Lazio who are second in Serie A. Inter had a bad patch that saw them earn just one point from five league games. That took them out of the top four and the news that Juventus had their points deduction reversed didn't help them either. Inter begin the weekend two points adrift of the top four and only a couple ahead of Atalanta in seventh. It might be that to be in the Champions League next term they need to win it this season. Inter did bounce back last week though with a 3-0 win at Empoli but they need to start getting points at home again. The last three in Serie A have all been lost all by a 1-0 final score. Eight of their last nine home league fixtures have had under 2.5 goals scored in them.

Lazio are second in the table but 17 points behind runaway leaders Napoli. Their target therefore is to ensure they finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League. They are currently five points ahead of fifth placed AS Roma who take on fourth placed Milan this weekend. Lazio had won four Serie A games in a row before being beaten 1-0 at home by Torino last weekend. That ended a run of eight league matches without defeat. Away form in Serie A is only bettered by Napoli with nine wins and only two defeats. Just seven away league goals have been conceded this season and that's the best in Serie A. Lazio come into this game having kept five successive away league clean sheets. Six of the last seven away games played by Lazio in Serie A have seen under 2.5 goals scored.
